Matthew Cochran is a Michigan born and raised singer / songwriter who now calls Florida home. Pulling inspiration from many genres of music such as folk, bluegrass, country, rock and world music, he carefully crafts his sound to call his own.

Some of his songwriters that he gains inspiration from in his style is The Beatles, Angels and Airwaves, Andrew Peterson and Dave Matthews to name a few.

As a painter tries to paint a form of reality using paints, singer / songwriter Matthew Cochran tries to form a reality through the use of melodies and meaningful lyrics. For over twenty years he has been bringing stories to life through music. Stories of love, friendship, hurt, loss and the joys of life. 
 

"I try to write songs that people can be drawn into and relate to", Matthew states, "because it's a form of art that can bring us all together as one and show we're not all different."

To date he has released seven studio albums of original work. His latest called Illuminating Love was released in March of 2024.
